Just "One" Soda per day can "minimize" your chances of getting Pregnant!

If you are trying to get pregnant or plan to get pregnant in the future, a brand new study completed by the Boston University School of Medicine determines that as few as one sugary drink per day (especially soda) can reduce your chances of getting pregnant. Soda and other sweetened beverages such as fruit juice constitute approximately one-third of added sugar in the average American diet. Sugar is not just bad for your overall health, but it is also linked to obesity, weight gain, diabetes, low semen quality in men, early menstruation in women and most recently the reduced possibility of conceiving a child.

Therefore, couples that are planning a pregnancy should consider limiting their consumption of these beverages, especially since sugar is also linked to other diseases, and health effects. There was also another study published in the journal Epidemiology, where researchers surveyed approximately  4,000 women between the ages of 21 and 45 and about 1,000 of their male partners on their medical histories, lifestyle choices, and diet — including how many sugary drinks they consumed. The study found that women who drank at least one soda per day had a 25% lower chance of becoming pregnant and males who consumed soda at least once a day was associated with a 33% reduced probability. Those statistics are staggering and alarming, especially if you consume sugary drinks on a regular basis.

Keep in mind that drinking energy drinks are even worse, with more severe odds than that of fruit juices and diet sodas. "Given the high levels of sugar-sweetened beverages consumed by reproductive-aged couples in North America," the study found  "these findings could have important public health implications."
