Let your shopping Genius out!

The art of shopping is an age-old concept that when used properly will render top quality items for less than you can imagine. Start with scanning the store with your eyes for the " Clearance" signs. Remember you are not looking to sacrifice quality, rather paying just above wholesale at the clearance price, and taking advantage of the store's excessive supply. Department stores (this includes online shopping as well) have seasonal items that do not sell, which they consider overstock, which they must move to make way for new inventory. It's their loss, your gain! Although this might mean you won't get the newest N.Y. Fashion Week pieces, you will be happy knowing that you secured top-notch labels for a fraction of the price. Be sure to sign up for store emails, or online shopping emails which will also provide you with additional updates on sales and clearances. Some department stores mark down items on particular days, others when there is an overstock, and of course when seasonal items have expired. There are also other incentives like discount coupons, and percentage off total purchases, so don't limit coupons to supermarket shopping. This concept also holds true for other shopping such as cell phone companies. Cell phone companies are notorious (especially online) for price changing within the same week, sometimes even the same day. For example, if sales typically spike between certain hours, the prices are higher. While slower times of the day or week, prices will be lower, to draw customers in. Therefore you should shop smart, by checking out the online sites multiple times a day before making your purchase. For even more super sales, check out the discount stores like Ross, T.J. Maxx, Marshalls, and head over to the clearance section for the express reason of shopping for clearance. It's what is called " Clearance busters." Use this concept to get both discount and clearance on the same trip.  Your wallet will thank you!
