KARMA - Is it Real or just another Pop Culture Theory?

We have all heard the newest word in staying conscious about what we do to others, and that word is "KARMA."  Karma is defined as

the sum of a person's actions in this and previous states of existence viewed as deciding their fate in future existences, or the destiny or fate, following as effect from the cause.

Originating from ancient India, KARMA is an important part of the Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism, and Taoism culture. So does that mean it's real, or will everyone be affected by this age-old concept that has transcended itself to current culture? Since there is no way to scientifically test KARMA, one should practice the tried and true concept "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."  That concept isn't very different from KARMA actually and is true in most cultures. Even if you don't believe or understand KARMA, embrace the concept that implies that your actions, works, or deeds, will surely influence the outcome of your future happiness and good fortune. Bad intent and equally bad deeds will contribute to the quality of your life. So, whether you embrace KARMA, or believe it to be some old wives tale, remember your life will indeed mirror your actions, so proceed with caution as you will definitely "Reap what you Sow."
